Well I said I'd update so here it is....

For those of you who don't know, I no longer work in toys at Wal-Mart. I now work in sporting goods. So far it hasn't been bad; the department is much smaller and there is less stress. I still help out in toys from time to time, but my officical job is in sporting goods.

School is going great. I'm in my second quarter, but thanks to transfer credit I'm actually in my third. I have an engineering and architecture class, plus a really boring PC class (I fall asleep almost everytime in that class).

Well I guess that's all. Not much of an update I guess, but not much is going on right now. Good-bye for now.

Happy Easter everyone. I don't know who all checks this, but it's been awhile I know. I'll have a real update soon. But for now I gotta get to bed so I can be ready for school and work tomorrow. Good-bye for now.

Friday night.....just sitting at home bored out of my mind watching tv. It's all good though, I was off from work today and I'll be off tomorrow too. Got a lot done today too. Got a new computer desk, built it, cleaned my room, and even did all my laundry. So it hasn't been that uneventful.

I saw the coolest thing ever today. My mom talked on the phone to my brother. It wasn't a very long conversation, but she never hesitated, and she didn't have to ask me what he was saying. It might not seem like a big deal to most who read this, but in all my almost twenty years of life, I have never talked to or seen her talk to anyone on the phone before. Thanks to her new hearing aid, she is able to hear things she never has before. I turned my back to her and was still able to talk to her. I couldn't believe it. It's still far from perfect, but a definite improvement over her old one.

Got school tomorrow. Ten hours. It's kind of fun though, so it won't be bad.

Well I guess that's all. Good-bye for now.

Update time....I know it's been awhile but I haven't had much going on worth noting on here, still don't really. I had a good Christmas and a good, but boring New Year. Had to work ten hours on New Year's Eve, then I came home and watched tv the rest of the evening. I haven't seen anyone from high school, which makes me kind of sad. They are probably getting ready to leave again to go back to school. I did see two of my good friends that I used to go to church with, which absolutely made my day. They hung out with me on my break.....quickest fifteen minutes ever, but it made me happy.

In other news, school is back in session. I started back on Wednesday. Arrived late because of an accident on the interstate, but it's a self teach class, so I didn't miss anything. I have to go tomorrow for ten hours, but it's kind of fun, so it won't be so bad. The teacher is boring, but I normally just end up tuning him out.

Well I guess that's all. Like I said, not much has been going on. Life overall is good, but the monotony of it is enough to drive one crazy. Maybe something exciting will happen around here soon. Good-bye for now.

Well I'm sitting here at home bored out of my mind, so I thought I'd do an update to try and pass the time. This past week has been pretty hectic. Had my one year evaluation at work the other day. I got "meets expectations", which means I'm just average, according to the managers, but I know better. They just put that so I they didn't have to give me a full raise. Oh well such is life. I still got a pretty good raise, but it won't take effect until my one year anniversary on February 18th. Don't ask me why they did the eval so early. Guess that's about it work-related, just ready for the season to be finished so things will calm down again.

So I got up this morning around 6:30 to go to my 8:00 class. This class is a purely online course, but since it's my first one, I am required to go to school to do it rather than stay home. So I get there and try and sign on to the computer, and it is going strangely slow. I thought it was just me, but no one could sign on to the server. We finally get past the login screen, only to see a message with the heading "questa downtime" (questa is the name of the server). Since the server is already down, we can't read the full message, so we don't know why it was taken offline, and we don't know when it's coming back online. We sit around class for two hours (it's a four hour class). My teacher says, "We are going to take a break. If I come back and you aren't here, I won't hold it against you." In short, I got up early for nothing this morning. Oh well, still kinda funny, at least I thought so.

Almost done with all my Christmas shopping. It's my first year having a job around Christmas, so it's a little different. It's kinda neat being able to buy things for my family that I couldn't have done before since I didn't have a job. On the downside though, that same job is keeping me away from my family a lot. I'll be missing part of Christmas dinner with the family. Ironic since Wal-Mart's slogan is "Home for the Holidays."

Well I guess that's all. Good-bye for now.
